I see where most people are comparing "Hobo" with "Machete" and as much as I liked "Machete", "Hobo" was way more over the top. It very much in the vein of the old TROMA movies, Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz should be proud. The gore level on a scale form 1 to 10 was somewhere around 23 and lets face it Rutger Hauer is one bad ass killing machine (Split Second, Nighthawks, Blade Runner, The Hitcher, Ladyhawke & Turbulence 3: Heavy Metal) Also any movie with a title like "Hobo with a Shotgun" just has to be awesome. On a personal scale from 1 to 5 shotgun shells I would easily give this movie 4 shotgun shells. |
