Rockers have as long as they want to keep making music, touring and making a living do what they love. A lot end up phoning it in and I think that's when they should pack it up. I grew up listening to punk music and it was so weird at the time that the Ramones had stayed together for 20 years. But now that's pretty common and recently I saw Fishbone celebrating their 25 anniversary and the singer was running around like a mad man stage diving and crowd surfing. Why should they give up what they love doing? What should they do instead, be dental assistants? Few people are lucky enough to do what they love for a living and it's pretty low of anyone to tell them they should stop for any reason. If you think a band has peaked, don't listen to them. |

Yeah, and filmmakers, writers, actors, artists and comedians should all stop creating and performing when they hit 40. Because we all know experience doesn't make you BETTER at what you do, right? By this logic Miley Cyrus must be the most talented and creative musician and actress alive.
