Move over, 007. MGM Home Entertainment is set to release Troll 2 on October 5, in a BD/DVD combo "20th Anniversary Nilbog Edition". This 1990 low-budget horror film about man-eating goblins, currently number 64 on the IMDB Bottom 100, recently shot back to fame after the release of the documentary Best Worst Movie. Special features have not been revealed.

Those greedy goblins are back and hungrier than ever in this gourmet gross-out! Disguised as friendly country folk, a pugnacious posse of people-eating trolls lures visitors to their town. But a family of four is about to discover this place is a real tourist trap...and they're the prey! Now, the no-good gnomes must be destroyed before the family gets flambéed...and the world becomes a buffet in this feeding frenzy of fear!

I wish this will make an appearance at the Second Annual Shock Till You Drop. Since it found a new audience. I'll be picking this up in the near future.

FYI-TROLL 2 and its making-of documentary BEST WORST MOVIE will both be showing at the all-night horrorthon in Yellow Springs two weeks before this year's Shock Around the Clock. Organizer Zack McGhee has been a stalwart supporter of our Marathon, so if you have the chance head on down there and check out his event.
