Brian Aldiss a classic SF author and the dean of living British Science Fiction died last Saturday.
He won a Hugo and a Nebula and was named a Grandmaster by the Nebula committee.
I read a couple of his books, but they were too dry and cerebral for me. Better, he was an editor of SF anthologies who introduced me to several new authors.
He wrote the stories that became
A.I. and
Frankenstein Unbound and collaborated with Kubrick, Spielberg and Corman in their production.
