I got my first Velvet Underground album at an early age. Songs like "Venus in Furs", "All Tomorrow's Parties" and "Heroin" were all new to me. I can also remember when a friend of mine gave me the Transformer album. All of us had heard "Walk on the Wild Side", but the album as a whole was amazing. Lou Reed will be missed, and another part of my musical childhood is gone, but never forgotten. |
