Well, it is the first of the year and time to schedule time off from work. Any thoughts yet on a date? My countdown is based on the thought that 4/12 is Easter, so we will likely be 4/18. Any chance we can get a confirmation on that? I know, we usually don't find out until the late feb timeframe. Never hurts to ask. My worry is that it will be the weekends of either 3/28 or 4/4 which would be very difficult for me.

Personally I really, really, REALLY hope it is not the weekend of 4/18...there is a very, very important event going on that weekend that I always hoped would never come between me and the marathon...three years going now and I haven't had to make that terrible decision.

I would honestly love a slightly later date in April, or even an earlier date if that works for more people.

*crosses fingers...*

If we're voting, I prefer any weekend except April 11 and April 25.

OK, the weekend of the 25th just opened up for me. So, now any weekend except Easter is OK.

Oh, please don't make it the weekend of 4/4 ! I can be free most any other weekend, but I just found out that I'm going to be out of town that whole weekend.

Late April would be best for me, but as I said, any weekend, other then 4/4, would be good enough for me.

I always prefer it to be early in the year. It's just better to be at a marathon when the weather sucks. A couple years ago when Batman and Westworld, etc... played it was kind of depressing to go outside between movies and have it be 80 degrees and sunny out. Almost questioned my marathon dedication that year (plus I think we only got 9 movies).

I wholeheartedly agree with MEATFETISH on this. While it makes for a better time in line waiting to get in I would rather be at the marathon during sucky weather.
