Buckaroo Banzai A great classic and great way to kick off or end the marathon with. I do hope the print will make it.

Planet of the Vampires Great cheeseball Italian sci fi flick.

Lunopolis Watched the trailer and it looked promising.

Late for Dinner a romantic comedy that have a hackneyed science fiction plot device. It is a bold choice to include IMO a non science fiction movie to the lineup. If there is a better movie or another premier replace this movie. What Forever Young wasn't available? True Late for Dinner is better but I'm going to take a nap if this schedule late at night.
Iron Man Privatizing world peace nuff said. Great for sunday morning .

I dunno, I consider "Late for Dinner" to be as much a sci-fi film as "Happy Accidents."

Lunopolis sounds fun enough from everything I can find about it to read.

I really hope WotW makes it in.

Is it possible that Late for Dinner could be the proverbial lead balloon of SF28?

I have never seen " Late for Dinner" so I will reserve judgement.

IRON MAN is a great choice for a modern film
THE ADVENTURES OF BUCKAROO BANZAI a great marathon movie.
PLANET OF THE VAMPIRES - Sweet!!
LUNOPOLIS - Can't wait to see this.

Bruce is off to a good start I can't wait to see the rest of the line up.

For people who never seen Late for Dinner please watch Forever Young. Forever Young is the big budget take on the same premise of Late for Dinner. I rather sit through Spaceboy remake and a trailerthon than Late for dinner.

I may be way off, but "Late For Dinner" may be included in the lineup to set the stage for a possible marathon guest, since W.D. Richter directed both of these films?...

I don't know anything about "Late For Dinner" other than the comments in this thread, but if it's a romantic comedy only lightly dusted with sci-fi, I'm not sure I'm interested either.

...However, I don't mean to throw a wet blanket...I'm still incredibly excited for the marathon! The other selections look solid so far, and I'm especially looking forward to "Planet of the Vampires" on the big screen!

Personally, I'm enthused about the line-up so far.

We can't go wrong with Buckaroo Banzai.
Planet of the Vampires is a great classic schlock.
Lunopolis I know nothing about, but it looks intriguing.
As the resident Comic Book guy, I am actually, oddly, least excited about Iron Man, just because it hasn't been that long since it hit theatres. But it is a great, fun film, and I'll enjoy it on the big screen again.

As for Late for Dinner, like I said, it's as much sci-fi as Happy Accidents, and to be honest, I *liked* Happy Accidents. If it sets up the guest, all the better. And if it's slow and of no interest? Well, you have to eat some time.

Besides, after seeing the trailer at several Marathons now, I'll be content to see the film itself.

This is why I subscribe to Netflix. To watch movies like Late for Dinner. If only a certain soft core sci fi trailer make a appearance to make up for Late for Dinner.

Okay, we get it. You don't care for Late For Dinner. It is ridiculous to argue an opinion with a different opinion. You're just going in circles.

Even if Late for Dinner is total crap, one reason I love the marathon is that I get to see films I may not have ever heard of without it. Late for Dinner is one of these. I have Netflix, but I don't spend a lot of time browsing for films I haven't heard of. As long as there is a sci-fi element, I'm glad to see it on the lineup, especially since it has a connection to another film also in the lineup. One thing I use Netflix for is to watch films with connections like that, so I think it is great to get to see a pair like this in the theater, especially with the marathon crowd. If it ends up not being any good, at least I'll be at the marathon.

I agree, I totally hated Happy Accidents but at least I can say I saw it and warn my friends with similar taste not to watch their time. I have Netflix also, just sayin'
