Endhiran a 174 minute film may be a tough sell for people who doesn't go every year. Scheduling the movie have to be in the early evening so people are awake to watch the whole thing.

Plus it might also scare away same people who think it might not be worth the ticket price if there are only 7 films. I want to see the movie but in order to keep this thing going the Science Fiction Marathon must have the audience.

BTW any commercials for this year thon?

Well, presumably there are still going to be more films announced in the next several weeks, it's not *only* going to be 7 films.

THE ADVENTURES OF BUCKAROO BANZAI: ACROSS THE 8TH DIMENSION
(103 minutes)

LATE FOR DINNER!
(99 minutes)

IRON MAN!
(126 minutes)

PLANET OF THE VAMPIRES!
(86 minutes)

LUNOPOLIS!
(98 minutes)

TROLL HUNTER!
(90 minutes)

ENDHIRAN: THE ROBOT!
(174 minutes)

=776 minutes out of 1400

I'm sure there's at least one or two more features left to be added. I'm hoping for a few more legit classics that everyone has heard of. I like the line-up, quite a lot actually, but I worry that only Iron Man and Buckaroo Banzai are going to bring people in the door who aren't already stalwarts of the event.

If Rajni's in it, I'm there. Give me many ridiculous dance scenes, and give them to me now!

One thing that I would absolutely love to see at either this year's or next year's sci fi marathon is "Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog". It has a cult following and I'll watch ANYTHING with Felicia Day lol

Is the 1400 minuets just for the features only or the complete runtime of the Marathon? Remember there are intermissions, trailers, shorts, unforeseen projection issues, costume contest, and anything else I fail to mention.

So far there are 4 science fiction movies, 1 romantic comedy, 1 horror, 1 Bollywood Musical. So 4 out of 7 are proper science fiction films. So far this year's SF thon is 57% proper science fiction films. Or 71% if you include the Bollywood Musical.

This is going to be the closest thing to attending an Ain't it Cool Butt Numb A Thon, witch I can't wait.

I rolled my eyes and cursed when I saw that a 3 hour "Bollywood Musical" had been added to the lineup...

And then I had a look at the trailer, and I couldn't stop smiling. Actually looking forward to this.

Endhiran based on the trailer it looks good. I do hope it doesn't disappoint. If its more musical than gonzo sci fi action I might duck out.
