I think we should try and stick with a date around the 14th of April, as this time usually has nothing going on and gives people time to prepare for any other events they may attend.

My only concern about this date for next year is it is Tax weekend. Maybe it will prompt folks to get them done sooner. It will not be an issue for me. However, one of my friends who usually attends has been working a second job with H&R the last few years and I don't know she would be able to attend. With enough notice, this is till a tentaive date, (I don't consider it firm until Bruce assures me I can book my flights) it might not be a problem.

I was unable to come. I heard it was great. I'm sorry I missed the Anne Francis interview. So, I take it next year will be April 15-16? Is that at the Gateway?

It was announced that it will be April 14th. As official as it gets, Jeff was there when they said it. They are shooting for the second weekend in April except for 2009 when it's Easter and then it will be the week after. The official answer to the permanency of the Gateway theater was "we haven't worn out our welcome yet."

This permanent date means that anyone who is a CPA would NEVER be able to attend. Is this a problem for anyone or anyone you know?. As for you regulars: get your taxes done early if the marathon is important to you, nuff said.

The Boston Marathon (not the one with all the runners, the important one :D) occasionally falls on Valentines Day. That has put a few people in a tough spot.

Dealing with the I.R.S. is nothing compared to an angry S.O.!
