As some of you may already be aware, according to a few sources, the Rapture will be taking place on Saturday, May 21, 2011. Google it if you need more background on this. While I have serious doubts that any of this crowd will be ascending to Heaven during this year's Sci-Fi Marathon, it can't hurt to have an Official Policy in place. Possibly one our evil Marathoids has dragged along an innocent newbie who might qualify for such a trip. In that event we will issue a refund to anyone called above during the Marathon. To receive said refund, which will be prorated from the time the called Marathoid leaves the theatre, we will require a note (or an unmistakable sign) from God. Watch for some "end of the world" trailers in the pre-show reel.

The good news is that the corresponding Armageddon is not scheduled to take place until a few days after this fall's Shock Around the Clock! So we'll see you there!

And if the Pretribulation theory holds, that means SEVEN MORE YEARS of Horror Marathons for all of your damned souls! If that holds true, we might be able to get Satan himself as the Guest of Honor for the 10th anniversary mega-blowout. Hope he doesn't want unlimited refills on coffee.

According to Family Radio broadcast on the shortwave radio band the end of the world suppose to end on May 21 at 6pm. Now I'll believe this if the following happens:

1. If I spot big ugly yellow spaceships in the sky
2. Reports about vanishing dolphins whistling the Star Spangled Banner
3. A odd looking man ordering 5 pints of beer and lots of bag of peanuts.
4. The same man holding a odd looking device and mumbling about towels.

If all 4 happens then I'll know it would be the end. Good thing I already watched Troll Hunter.

My suggestions for the pre-tribulation marathons:

1. The Omen
2. Rosemary's Baby
3. The Exorcist
4. Hellraiser
5. The House of the Devil
6. Devil (Never seen it, but it looks interesting)
7. Drag me to Hell
8. Satan's School for Girls
9. The Devil's Rain
10. The Devil and Daniel Webster

Of course, we'd have to show this underrated near-classic.

That holds a weird place in my heart. Maybe it's David Duchovny's mullet...

If there's intermission music, can you track down Its The End Of The World As We Known It by R.E.M.? Or try to track down the video?

The Rapture is supposed to take place at 6:00. Are you going to stop Cargo and raise the lighting so we can see if anyone has been taken?

If Bruce was planning for this he would have placed Troll Hunter earlier in the line-up cause thats the movie people want to see before the world ends.

HOWEVER...None of us are lucky enough to have the world end, we will all continue to live.

Ah, if the costume contest were only later. Then the empty Ro-Man suit could have won the contest since its owner likely would have been raptured. :D
