I'm torn between Team Jason or Team Zardoz. When will the tickets go on sale?

I fully support Jason X at this marathon! Is it a good movie? No, not at all. Is it a totally freakin' fun blast? Hell yeah!!! Bring it on!!! Seriously, it will keep people awake at 4am. And if you don't like, go to sleep.

Was actually a Giant Maggot however I agree it was cool. Would love to see Forbidden World at the Marathon but Galaxy of Terror just played a couple years ago.

I'm pretty sure I am the person who knocked Jason X as sci-fi on the old site. Even if I am not, I hold that opinion, so I'll take the bait.

If you don't understand how the whole "face your fears" mythos in Galaxy of Terror make it more sci-fi than horror, fine. If you don't understand how the whole creation of the alien creature in Alien give it a sci-fi/horror hybrid feel, fine. And if you don't see that Jason X is just every other Friday the 13th film except set in space, fine.

Then how about this: I've seen 7 Friday the 13th films (including Jason X)and have reached the conclusion that I'd don't want to waste any more of my life watching them. They are not well made. They have the same plot every time: Jason kills a lot of people and is dispatched in the final scenes. The end. No suspense, just killing.

There are many more interesting films out there in the sci-fi realm. For that matter, there are many more interesting films out there in the horror realm.

And when I do not respond to your response to this post, note this: I do not think you are right. You love Friday the 13th films. I hate them. I am not going to change your mind. You are not going to change mine. And my not responding further will not change that.

If Jason X is booked, I will be disappointed in Bruce. And I will find something else to do during its run time.

If the Columbus Ohio Science Fiction just screen straight science fiction movies and avoid all schlock the it will be boring.

Jason X is not a great piece of cinematic art. The reason is that Jason X is a silly schlock film nothing more. Its basically a self parody of Friday the 13th flicks. Plus if you watch Leprechaun in Space it makes Jason X look good.

That's great idea! What about voting w/canned good donations to a local food pantry? That would be fun and a great way to help out.

I like the idea of donating food to a local food pantry.
