Long live the Thing!

James Arness, gone in a puff of gunsmoke, or was that an improvised fryer?

A true TV icon, 20 years on Gunsmoke. Just imagine if FOX would have been the Network to air Gunsmoke, they would have cancelled it after the 2nd season.

R.I.P. Mr. Arness

Very sad. And, his brother, Peter Graves, passed away only last year.

This has been a rough couple of years by any account. Definitely sad news.

Hey, I've got a great idea! We should show the original Thing From Another World ... but we should probably only bother to show it on DVD. Not worth the trouble of getting a 35mm print.

Whoops. Did I say that out loud? :)
