I enjonyed seeing some short films last year and was wondering if it was being discussed to show some this year. I have been browsing the Boston forums and I like what they are doing this year. They had short film submissions and will be showing several of them in 30 minute blocks and announcing an audience favorite. I think this is a great idea. Bruce, if you are going to Boston this year please let us know how this turned out. Would something like that be feasable for Columbus?

The films shown here last year were hit and miss, but I think that's the nature of shorts. the problem I had last year was showing them all in one slot at 2AM. It kind of killed the momentum and made the MAX HEADROOM surprise less exciting.

I saw a handful of brilliant shorts at a festival out here last October, so I know there are good ones out there.

Right. And that works just fine for me. So long as I enjoy a few, I don't mind sitting through others.

Agreed. But didn't we hear that they had problems with the dvd and had no choice but to show them all in order?

Though in general, I'll agree. I'd gladly take a few 5-10 mintues shorts sprinkled throughout the marathon over one big chunk of them.

I'm officially tossing my hat in the ring for 'Negadon, Monster From Mars', a 20 minute CGI short film.

I'd be more than happy to bring my copy for the DVD projector if need be. 8)
