I've been checking the Boston marathon site and with about a month to go, it looks like they've only announced 2 films: War of the Satellites and Attack the Block. So we aren't alone in getting last minute info for sci-fi marathons (thanks be to Joe and Bruce for early announcements for the horror marathon). I'm hoping we can get a date set soon, ideally in late March/early April. As for the marathon itself, let's keep it 80% or more film prints and maybe a couple more classics with 2 or 3 solid premieres. I thought last year's marathon was great, but I missed the 70s and 80s classics that could've replaced some of the less than great premieres.

They have to take account for Easter. April seems to be a good mont for the Science Fiction Marathon.

I talked to Jeff Frank @ The Drexel Saturday night, and he said not only will there definitely be a sci-fi marathon this year, but they are announcing the date soon!! (btw, The Artist was amazing, and the Descendants was very good as well!!)

I'm hoping after Easter. I have one open weekend in March, 3/24-3/25. Segei had meets every other weekend in March. His final meet of the season (state championships) we are hosting so I have to be there on 3/31-4/1.
