Here is some comments about this year's lineup.

They Live A Great 1980's, in my opinion a underrated classic.

The Green Slime. Finally a 35mm anamorphic print of the 1960's cheese fest. Can't wait to hear the awesome them song.

The Creeping Unknown First time seeing this one.

Reptilicus Another low budget dino flick. Great for riffing.

Source Code It is a decient second outing from Duncan Jones.

Brainstorm. A great in my opinion a better "brainy" film than Source Code

Attack the Block. A great low key alien invasion flick.

Apex Twin's Electroma Never heard of it.

Battle Royale a great movie. All of the other knock offs should be put to shame. I do hope it is the director's cut.

Seven out of the nine films (so far) I've seen already. This is good news because I can dose in and out without missing anything.

Location: Beautiful Cleveland, Ohio.
Seen five of nine, several recently.
Attended the Boston Marathon this year. Feared it would have the same lineup.
Only two!!!!
I am sorry that given the creative suggestions made on this forum (and 50 other sources if you care to look) the selections are pretty predictable.
But who knows what is obtainable?
It would be very interesting to hear sometime how the selection process woks.
Does it start with a hit list of desired films? Or a list of what's available?
Is there a network of film buffs who own stuff that savvy programmers can tap into? or a similar list of programmers?
How much does money/cost come into the process?
I could go on with a list of questions, but so could anyone else here.

I am excited to return this year! Nice lineup so far, though I must say, I am a bit puzzled by the inclusion of Electroma. While I haven't seen it, I imagine that this is not the right audience. Green Slime is a super score if it is 35mm. I have been waiting years to see They Live on the big screen! Battle Royale should be fun....I haven't seen it since it came out and never seen it on the big screen.

Can't wait!

Interesting start so far.

But, is GREEN SLIME really in 35MM? It has been most elusive.

Why not? We've had a silent film as one of the featured bits at the last several marathons, and they've been generally well received. True, Electroma is a little "art house" for this crowd, but we're not incapable of enjoying that kind of film.

Let me revise my previous post. I hope it is the 35mm print since I highly doubt that the Drexel will book a 16mm from a "private collector" due to legal reasons.

I'm surprise that most of this year's lineup is from the past decade. No film is from the 1970's.

With the inclusion of Brainstorm will there be some sort of contest to see who can be the best or worse Christopher Walken?

It will be amusing if Slither will be the last minute replacment film.

The Ohio (Columbus) Science Fiction shouldn't mimic the Boston Science Fiction Marathon too much. In my opinion that it could hurt ticket sales if a person from Columbus who attend the Boston Science Fiction Marathon maybe don't want to spend another thirty-five to forty dollars for a simliar lineup. Try to make the Columbus one unquie.

Time to suffer through Cyborg 2. Why Jack Palance Why?

You had me at They Live!

Battle Royale - Been a proud DVD owner for years, can't wait to see it on the big screen.
Source Code - Not bad, saw it on Blu-Ray, won't mind seeing it on the big screen
They Live - Words can not describe the wonder of John Carpenter and Roddy Piper.
Attack the Block - Seeing this one in Chicago this weekend, hope it's good enough to see twice
Reptilicus - Perfect Classic Cheese.
Brainstorm - Slow but Slow.
The Green Slime - FINALLY!!
The Creeping Unknown - Never seen it but can't wait.
Electroma - Never heard of Daft Punk or their music but will keep an open mind.

Great Line-up Very Impressive!!

Battle Royale is one of my favorite films...

and since you mentioned not being familiar with them, here are some of Daft Punk's more popular songs:

Did you see Tron legacy? That was pretty much 100% them.

If you're keeping score, officially it's:

THEY LIVE, THE CREEPING UNKNOWN, SOURCE CODE, BRAINSTORM, ATTACK THE BLOCK, ELECTROMA, REPTILICUS - 35mm

BATTLE ROYALE - blu-ray - Okay, start arguing about which version to show.

THE GREEN SLIME - DVD - Yes, we struggle for survival in the infected remains of a diseased video universe - welcome to the future!

Quite surpise that Electroma isn't going to be on video.

I'll put my two cents in that the director's cut or Battle Royale is my choice. If people can sit through a certain eastern european horror "film" from last year's Horror Marathon they can survive Battle Royale Director's Cut.

Remember if the DVD for the Green Slime is anamorphic please have the projectonist make sure that the video projector is set to 16:9. I want to see unused space on the top and bottom since the film shot in scope.

They Live is a long overdue addition! Battle Royale is awesome but I just ordered the blu-ray-guess I'll watch all the supplements. Attack the Block is great, but I'm going to get sick of it soon. Saw it in the theater in August, watched the blu-ray in December, it's playing at Chicago's marathon this weekend.... Source Code is good, but I'm not a fan of any, let alone 2, recent releases. I did have the joy of driving the director around for that one... And I've never seen any of the others. Is it possible to get Demon Seed? That would be some crazy shit.

This is unfortunate, but to be fair to Bruce, I'm sure it would be much, much cheaper to simply buy the rights and show EVERYTHING on DVD or BluRay. So let's not feel like we've been totally assimilated yet.

Electoma is only going to be 1 hour and 15 minutes long. How about attaching Spaceboy to it?

How about Ra.One for a premire? It is another Indian science fiction film. Since Robot was well recived.
