So 20 years ago, Bruce and Jeff and the wonderful Drexel North brought the marathon tradition to Columbus and created a wide network of obsessed freaks like me, some of whom can say they've spent over a month of their lives inside a marathon. I think we should do something special to celebrate the 20th anniversary. Maybe something simple like a trailer reel of movies that played that first marathon. Or maybe we can play a couple of titles from the first marathon (I've never seen Trancers). Let's get some suggestions going.

Wow! I didn't think about that. It has been 20 years. Next year the Marathon will be old enough to drink.

Out of all the films that played that first year, I would most like to see Transers and Blade Runner. Day The Earth Stood Still and Forbiden Planet are cool, but have played a cajillion times. Village of the Damned or Aliens might be cool.

Yes, it was 20 years ago, but this will only be the 19th marathon. So, should we celebrate this year or next year? Next year could also possibly be labeled as SF25, which would be another milestone of sorts...
I'm so confused! My brain hurts!

I think that we need to celebrate and promote this as the 20th anniversary of the first marathon, despite this only being the 19th marathon or is it the 25th? Either way I'd like to make my vote for Infra-Man. Sure I got the DVD and it did not live up to my memories, but I still am dying to see it with a marathin audience. I've missed it in the past and it fell through for the Schlock marathon I went to.
