Just Announced: New Liz Lessner Restaurant To Open Inside Gateway Film Center
Chris Hamel, President of Gateway Film Center, is very pleased to announce a new partnership with local restaurant visionary Liz Lessner, known for her involvement with local favorites like Surly Girl Saloon, Betty’s Fine Food and Spirits, Tip Top, Dirty Frank’s Hot Dog Palace, the Jury Room, and the Grass Skirt Tiki Room. The film center, which is also locally owned and operated, will feature a new Lessner concept slated to open July 1. Patrons can expect the same distinctive food and atmosphere they have come to expect from Ms. Lessner’s other restaurants. More details about the concept and menu will be announced in the coming weeks.
“Liz is an expert in creating unique restaurant concepts that quickly become Columbus favorites,” said Mr. Hamel. “This is the perfect marriage between two local businesses. Patrons will be able to enjoy the best of Columbus’ restaurant scene before, during, or after watching a diverse selection of commercial and independent film.”
The Gateway Film Center is Ohio’s first dedicated film house featuring indie and foreign films in addition to all the big releases. Convenient parking is available year-round in the South Campus Gateway parking garage, accessible from both 9th and 11th avenues.
