Saw Grabbers a few months ago. We enjoyed it and all agreed that it was the type of film that should play well at a marathon.

I haven't managed to see Europa Report yet, so maybe at this point I should just hold on for a few months and see if it shows up in Columbus.

Anyone in addition to VZeke & Topps going from greater Ohio?

Wish that I could, because it looks like a really fun line-up.

Sadly, the silent HOMONCULOUS was cancelled.

CHILDREN OF MEN replaces it.

Boston was a legitimately great marathon this year. Not sure if I'll post a recap thread on their boards, but not a single disappointment, and a whole lot of really great titles (and even better 35mm prints.)

Please do post on Boston board. Here is the Marathon wrap-up thread: http://sf.theboard.net/cgi-bin/yabb2/Ya ... 8569/10#10

Just posted on the Boston board. http://sf.theboard.net/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1392718569 LA Connection obviously has a vested interest in wanting people to post/look at what's going on in Boston. He's one of the mainstays for acquiring prints - and attending - that show. But it does make sense that if you like Columbus, you'd be interested in what was going on elsewhere.
Columbus tends slightly to more popular fare than Boston. The audience is a little younger than either Boston or Cleveland. Cleveland serves two Gods. A student audience that likes the stuff produced for the popular market (and action/adventure from years ago) and an older crowd who think that they've seen it all. Boston? Long timers with a smaller number of youth.
Anyway. Check out what's going on elsewhere.

Thought this video was pretty cool: Time-Lapse of the Audience at this year's Boston Marathon

This was probably already posted on the Boston forums; I've never been to the Boston one and I don't read those forums regularly, but I stumbled on this searching for something else and thought I'd pass it on. Looks like a fun time :)
