I totally see your point. The only difference between Gravity and The Exorcist is that in The Exorcist, it's understandably shocking and horrible because in a horror film, shock is the norm. In a horror film, you expect it, even with children, but with The Exorcist, a child said and did things that probably NO child had ever said or did on screen before. It wasn't done in a funny way, but a dark, serious way, so I think the context was different given the genre.
Don't mind my old fashioned sense of thinking. I have somewhat conservative views.
