Okay, so this is going to be my first marathon. I have been looking forward to going to one for years, but work has kept me from going. This year, however, I am ready!!....i think....a couple of questions...If I get there about 6:30am, where at in line do you think i'd be?....does the cafe take credit card?....and is anyone interested in watching flash gordon or some other sci-fi classic on my portable dvd player while we wait in line??.....

6:30 will get you in with the rest of us "What the hell are you people thinking?" types. So, you'll be somewhere in the first 10-20 in all likelihood.

I'm about 90% sure that the Cafe takes plastic.

And a portable DVD player in line will be welcome, but frankly the discussions that take place that early in the morning in line are a blast in and of themself.

Well since this is walking distance for me I started out the door by 4 4:30AM

Remember shower and wear clean clothes. Bring ID if buying booze. Be thoughtful to the staff they have to put up with us for 24 hours. If you can clean up after yourself. Cafe does serve food and get some. Don't fill up on Soda and Popcorn. Just behave yourself.

People to get punchy in the wee hours.

Bring a pillow. Not for your head, but for your behind. After 24 hours, you'll be glad you did.

Talk to people between the films. This is a community, and there's a lot of fun people in the theater. One year I came alone and still enjoyed myself.

I get the bottomless drink, but switch to ice water almost immediately.

I get the beer, but switch to coffee at 2:00 AM.

Does that stuff make hair grow? Cuz, if it does, that's my new daily scalp treatment!! I'll have to bring a bag of it with me so I don't miss a day at the marathon!

Oh... human poop, or agricultural manure?

Sadly, there are a couple of people that will show up that smell like that is their routine.
