I am waiting to rent the unrated Blu Ray later this year. After being tricked with Rise of the Machines & Salvation stinkers & the horrible reviews Genisys is getting, I personally am going to wait on this one. I know it is to make more money, but imo the Terminator movies should all be rated R.

I liked Terminator Genisys, it was waaaaayyyy better than Salvation. They were able to recover the feel of the original Terminator.

I liked Genisys. It did indeed feel like a proper Terminator movie.

But it was far from perfect. I'm glad I didn't go in with too high expectations.

Something I did not understand is
Spoiler: show
John Connor, who has now become a terminator, tries to actually KILL HIS PARENTS! Would this or would this not cause John to cease existing, just like if Marty McFly had not set up his future mother and father in 1955? John comes up with some tirade about how he could still exist even after killing them. No, John. It doesn't work like that. You only exist because of your parents.

See my answer here:
Spoiler: show
Of coarse this is only my opinion but I think at this point John is no longer "John" he had become something more so this new John would continue to Exist even without his parents. This point is further validated by the fact that his mom refuses to have sex or get pregnant but John is still there.

Thanks for clearing that up Ghost. Terminators using nanobots...that would have to be the single most advanced thing the machines could ever POSSIBLY come up with!

No Kevin, I think it's more like

I don't remember who was around when we were having the conversation about Terminator at the Cleveland 'thon (pogo? einhorn?), but a little more news came out about the possibility of another sequel, in case anyone's interested...

The quick recap... Paramount pulled the next Terminator off their release schedule. In other words... probably not happening in the next few years, and if it does happen, eventually, we're probably looking at a reboot. There's not too much interest in continuing with the Genisys continuity.
