How about Hell Comes to Frogtown in tribute to Roddy?

Hell Comes to Frogtown and They Live! a Roddy Double Feature.

THEY LIVE!!! was at SF29.
I remember it well.
I was the inarticulate guy with long hair in the plaid shirt with the 2X4 dressed as Roddy in the costume contest.

I'll be very disappointed if the great sci-fi movie CONTACT doesn't play next year.

We announced that CONTACT would be in the lineup one year, maybe the Arena Grand era, but a couple of very vocal non-fans convinced Jeff to drop it. I had it on the list for last year's kick ass women theme, but I seemed to be the only one with much enthusiasm for showing it. Maybe someday...

Attack on Titan (live-action) looks pretty darn amazing.

Oh yeah, it would have fit perfectly last year.

Don't listen to the haters.

YES, YES, and MORE YES!!!! By the way, did this remind anyone else of Cabin In The Woods and Pacific Rim?

Odd as it may seem, I have never seen CONTACT.
Even have a one month old reserve to have my library send me a copy.
Another vote for YES!

I finally watched Pacific Rim for the first time recently. I enjoyed it a lot! I think it would be a great film for 2016 thon.

Also I would like to add

Kung Fury
John Carter
Sphere
Short Circuit 1 or 2
Chappie
Day the Earth Stood Still (1951)
Mad Max: Fury Road
Guardians of the Galaxy

A 1-2 punch of Sphere and Contact would be pretty funny.

Thanks!

I really wanted to see Chappie in theaters but sadly never got around to it. I have been a long time fan of Die Antwoord so it's cool to see that they are a part of it. Also, South African culture is a hell of a drug.

Kung Fury would be a great candidate because of length. It is only about 40 min which would pair it nicely with a longer film and help keep things *cough* on schedule. Plus that Hoff music video "True Survivor" is really great.

I'm still kicking myself in the ass for missing this past sci-fi thon and don't intend to let it happen again.

Though this may be overzealous, should we expect any possible announcements/film candidates for Sci-fi 2016 at Shock Around the Clock?

I have an idea. What if Kung Fury was paired up with "Turbo Kid"?
