Let's start suggesting for next year's marathon. I know it's a little early, but what the heck.

I would love to see ...
Labyrinth
Light Years
Starchaser: The Legend of Orin (in 3-D)
Rock n Rule
Heavy Metal
Robotech: The Movie

Any of these would be awsome!

Also Metalstorm and SpaceHunter in 3-D would be very cool. I know it's not possible to show 3-D due to the cost of equipment and the technical headaches involved but it would be very cool.

I know there are more but here are some 50th anniversary movies next year. They have all played at some point in the past.

It! The Terror from Beyond Space
I Married a Monster from Outer Space
The Fly
The Blob

I agree Dennis, The Fly and The Blob would be great ... originals, of course.

Book ending The Blob would be cool, the 1988 remake was great. Also Blobbermouth would be fun again.

Every year since I started posting I have requested 12 Monkeys. Now that I don't have to do that again... (and once again, thanks for booking it, Bruce)

Metropolis, both the silent classic (with live accompaniment if possible) and the Japanese anime remake. If not that Japanese animated film, then either Akira or a Miyasaki film -- especially Princess Mononoke. But almost no other Japanese animation. (I still shudder remembering how X played.)

Superman II, especially if there is a print of the Donner cut available.

I second the nomination of Labyrinth, which I love but have never seen on a screen.

I also would love to see Buckaroo Bonzai with the marathon crowd. Or RoboCop.

I love the classics. They've been pretty well represented so far, but I definitely want them to keep coming. Even if it's the campier "classics" like Frankenstein vs. the Space Monster.

But outside of those, here are a few more recent ones I'd love to see at a Marathon:

Highlander
Army of Darkness
Demolition Man

As always, I gotta toss a vote out for CASSHERN, I've purposely avoided watching the film on DVD for close to two years now in hopes that it will get picked for a future marathon. Even a film that you own and have seen before can thrill and surprise you again when you haven't watched it in a long time as certain scenes or details fade from the memory, and I can think of no better place to revisit CASSHERN then at the marathon. 8)

I can relate to the avoiding of the DVD. I've done the same thing with THE THING the past two years. I think I'll wait one more year and if he doesn't book it next year, I'll have to give in.

I vote for Will Smith to be the featured performer...

I, Robot
MIB
MIB II
ID4
Wild Wild West

would all be eligible movies and they're all fun.

I really would like to see Robot Jox and and Robot Wars: Robot Jox 2 back to back. I think it would add in the fun cause Transformers just came out. Maybe the Last Starfighter too.
