The Ohio Sci-Fi and Horror Marathons

Well, I can't make it so I am preparing for my own late night mini-thon at home. It'll probably be just me, and a bottle of booze. As the night progresses, I am sure that I will become more and more depressed because I am not at the actual Marathon (I'm on the other side of the continent).

At some point I will probably call my friends at the marathon. After talking and putting on my best happy voice, I will hang up and cry for 30 minutes. I'll then watch some more movies.

Around 2AM I will contemplate putting on my Inframan costume, but will be afraid my roomies will think me crazy.

At 2:30, I will cry. I will then put on my Inframan costume anyway. Screw my roommates.

At 3AM. I will dress my cat, Captain, in a Duck Dodgers costume. I will walk to the park which is right next door to my apartment and get the opinion of the homeless guy who sleeps there. I will pay him $5 to judge who's costume looks better, mine or my cat's. In the spirit of "the kid always wins the costume contest" The cat will win.

I will try and explain the concept of the marathon to the homeless guy, but I am sure he won't understand, so I'll invite him in to watch old tapes of Marathons past. I'm sure he will want to go next year.

We will try to watch The Apple, but fall asleep. That's when my roommates find me - Drunk, and passed out next to the homeless man from the park in front of the TV in my Inframan costume. I hope they don't think I am weird.....

At least you are using your sorrow in constructive ways! Although introducing a homeless person to THE APPLE with no warning might be construed as cruel and unusual punishment!
