If we ever do a marathon that runs during Arpil 1st again, Bruce should get some big fan favorite and announce it as that in the flyers. Then show the first few minutes of automatons before switching over to whatever movie he really was going to show.

Or if they show T2 again, during the fight betwen the T100 and T1000 splice in some Automaton footage.

Well, with titles already being announced it's probably too late to toss out this little nominee for a new premiere.

'Outlander'

It's vikings vs a space monster.

I see that Blade Runner:The Final Cut is actually playing at the Drexel this week. Any chance of getting it back in six weeks?

Pretty please...

...with sugar on top?

Hoping the "guest" will be Tom Adkins or Fred Dekker with Night of the Creeps. If Green Slime is shown I have contacts with 3 of the cast. With TerrorVision I'm in touch with 3 or 4.
And an early plug for the Horror Marathon is that the Grindhouse New Beverly Screenings in LA are showing all kinds of great stuff like Final Exam,Ms.45,Satan's Cheerleaders, etc. so please take note and quit showing the same old every year.

Since last year Cheese-a-thon, time for some better sci fi flicks. Here is my list: (some cheese will be fine)

Logans Run Marathonoids want the movie to be screened
Zardoz
Superman II Richard Donner Cut
Blade Runner The Final Cut
Metropolis both the silent and anime version
The Illistrated Man
A Good print of Star Trek II
Indy Jones Movie (is that sci fi enough)
Godzilla 1984 (aka Godzilla 1985)
Attack of the Killer Tomatoes
Automatons (just kidding)
The Man who fell to Earth

Night of the Creeps or Green Slime get my vote also!!

It's gonna be hard to top last years marathon but I am sure Bruce will do his best. I would still love to see some 3-D at this years marathon even if it's the cheap red/blue stuff.

I want to see Blad Runner's final cut. That would be perfect. Maybe we could do a Philip K Dick themed thon. There are plenty of them out there.

As has been stated before in other posts: we can stop requesting LOGAN'S RUN.

LOGAN'S RUN will be booked at a marathon by Bruce as soon as one of the non-existent prints out there falls from the sky.

I know that there has been concern expressed that there is already too much cheese this year as is, but I just can't help myself...

And of course the awesome theme song, right up there with Queen's Flash Gordon as far as I'm concerned. 8)

I would love to see a return of the "Zombie American" short. That's my second favorite short just after "Gravity".

With the marathon finally taking shape, I think the only thing missing is a fast paced QUALITY action movie from the 80's or '90s. I would love to see anything from John Carpenter, you know back when he was actualy making good movies, or as mentioned before Blade Runner:TFC or Robocop.

However, I would be willing to bet that the last couple slots are probably being saved for possible premeires. Oh well, no matter. The lineup still looks good. The "oldies" are all wise choices. Actually, two of them are literally WISE choices...

...Get it? WISE choices! Ha! I kill me!

A good Carpenter film like The Thing, They Live, Big Trouble in Little China, would be awesome. Blade Runner is great, but not what I'd call fast paced, and since The Final Cut has been in theaters recently and just released on DVD, I say we skip that. My top two choices for fast paced, quality action films would be RoboCop and Predator, followed by They Live (which would be first if I didn't end up seeing it on the big screen twice in the last 2 years.
