ATTENTION MARATHOIDS!!!

The countdown to the 25th Annual Ohio 24 Hour Science Fiction Marathon is underway.
This year's Marathon will be launched at noon Saturday, April 19 at the Drexel Theatre,
2254 East Main Street in Bexley, and come back to earth at noon Sunday, April 20, 2008.

A few films have already been scheduled. To honor our Journey to the Seventh Theatre
is the Danish/American International outer space adventure JOURNEY TO THE SEVENTH PLANET.
John Hurt and Richard Burton star in the 1984 version of George Orwell's NINETEEN EIGHTY-FOUR.
Mindless sex and violence for the middle of the night are offered by the Indonesian R-rated rip-off
LADY TERMINATOR. More titles will be announced later this week. As always, you can
expect a few premieres, a few classics, and who knows what else.

Advance tickets will be $35 and go on sale Thursday, March 13 at the Drexel,
Drexel Grandview, 1247 Grandview Avenue, and the Laughing Ogre, 4258 North High Street.
Tickets at the door will be $40. Info on charge by phone or online will be available in a few days.

Also, for the first time, we're also going to offer a 12 hour mini-marathon, running from midnight
Saturday, April 19 until noon Sunday, featuring an abbreviated version of the 'Thon as we know it.
There will be six features to be announced when the film line up is complete, shorts, cartoons
and trailers, prizes and the rest - a sampler for the 'Thon-curious or the gainfully employed who
just don't have the time or can't be bothered with a 24 hour commitment.
Tickets for the Science Fiction Halfathon will be $18 in advance and $20 at the door.

Watch for the announcement of a special guest within a few days!
