Pwned the other movies. Totally.

It's not often you get to see a guy get "bike-slapped" and the fan service in this film was just great. I think I enjoyed Godzilla: Final Wars more than anything else...

*sigh* The Big G just ruled the big screen...

I agree, GODZILLA was Great, as soon as I got home I added the DVD to my blockbuster online list, I wish Invisible Boy was available on DVD that was alot of fun too. I hate the fact that the SCI-FI and Horror marathons show so many fun trailers and yet very few of the movies are available on DVD, I want to see THE GREEN SLIME and Voyage of the Rock Aliens. Among others.

That's the beauty of the marathon, though. You see things you'll never see elsewhere. Can you imagine seeing SPACEBOY anywhere else?

Getting back to GODZILLA, the last third of the film was some of the most fun I've had in a movie theater in ages.

Absolutely agreed ... definitely the most enjoyable modern Godzilla flick so far. Ranks right up there with the fantastically pristine print of "Mothra" that ran at SF15.

I just got done ordering my copy of it :D .

Ten minutes into Final Wars, I just looked over to my friends and proudly announced "I think I just had a geek-gasm"

Hands down, in my opinion, the runaway film from this marathon. And I enjoyed pretty much everything.

I don't think there was a bad film. A couple of the shorts weren't great, but they were so short, they were gone before they could be a problem. I'm not sure that there was much original in Final Wars, it seemed like almost every line of dialog came from somewhere else, but it was so nicely done, I can't complain.

You have no idea how refreshing it is to be around a group of people who can sit back and enjoy this film without taking it too seriously. This movie got some of the biggest screams, claps and laughs of the night and watching the thon audience react to it was almost as fun as the film itself IMO. The only other film that got a bigger ovation I think was Serenity, jolly good show.

Yes my friends.....Godzilla truly is king. 8)
