The 26th Annual Ohio 24 Hour Science Fiction Marathon will blast off at noon Saturday, March 28, 2009 at the Drexel Theatre, 2254 East Main Street in Bexley. Ticket and film info soon. Klaatu Barada Ohio!

Errrr! Well, darn...too early this year for me. Have fun fellow marathoids. I will be knee deep in overtime work. I could have only made it if it were mid or late April. I am missing Boston and Columbus! Another year without a marathon. Drats!

Bummer. I already have tickets for the Crew game on March 28th, and it's the season opener, so we'll be celebrating the MLS Cup victory from November.

Any chance of discounted tickets if we show up really late?

For various reasons unrelated to the date, I will be unable to make the journey this year. I am happy to see the Marathon still lives on through all the struggles and uncertainties of the past few years. I hope to come again soon, probably as soon as next year, as long as you guys keep fighting to maintain the event, I will continue to support it.

This should probably be posted in "The World Watch Wire." For a few weeks now, I've been popping on to the forum, looking at the last post date in the Official Announcement thread, and going on my merry (well, not so merry, since I was hoping to find a date) way.

Today I finally checked in the Cantina for the first time this month and found the date was actually posted.

Great to have a date, though. Now I can see what needs to happen for me to make it up there.
