That's great, but that's not "all six," that's the first six. There were four more.

I wonder how much. I've not bothered to buy the DS9 or TNG box sets because I find them too pricey.

Well the three out of four with the exception of First Contact were the worst Star Trek movies ever made. Then I view that Star Trek TNG was the worst series of them all. What two thirds of the episodes discuss Starfleet Policy?! This is why that all four seasons of ST: TOS is superior. (Yes, I'm including the ST TAS as the "fourth" season.) C-Span is more entertaining, Heck watching the Ohio Channel on WOSU 34.2 is more interesting than TNG.

If they went along to make Riker the Capitan of The Enterprise NCC 1701 D at the end of Best of Both Worlds and have Picard written out of the series, then the series will be watchable. But no, they have to keep the treasonous Picard captain of the NCC 1701 D. Picard willingly joined the Borg. This is why Janeway was promoted to Vice Admiral after she and her future self destroys the Unicomplex and destroys a Borg Sphere from the inside out.

I'm done with my Star Trek rant.

Best ST series in order:

ST TOS/TAS
ST DS9
ST Voyager
ST Enterprise
ST TNG ( I rather watch the Star Wars Holiday Special and Star Wars: The Clone Wars movie on an endless loop than Star Trek TNG.Yes I did mention the holiday special that should remain nameless.)

I agree with most of what you said, Willcall I agree with your ranking iof the series except that I never watched TAS. I would also put Babylon 5 ahead of all the series except TOS & DS9. Promoting Riker would not have made any difference for me. I didn't like him any better than Picard. Still it was Trek.

My film ranking:
II, III, IV & VI A

VIII & IX B

I & V C

VII & X D

I don't seem to recall it happening that way. Did I miss the [sarcasm] tags? His time as a Borg made him a much more interesting character and I thought they used it well.

With a few exceptions, I don't care much for the episodes from the first few seasons of TNG. However, I enjoyed most of the rest of the series. I could have lived without any of the TNG films. Many of the two part cliff hangers or even the series finale were much better stories than those films.

That said, I think both DS9 and Voyager were better. For me, it is close between Voyager and TNG, but those first few seasosn of TNG, make me lean to Voayger.

Also for me TNG and TOS/TAS are close. I am including a number on a scale of 1-100 about how I rate the quality of the series in general in relation to other Sci Fi series. That might be an intersting list to debate some day when I had more time.

DS9 (97)
Voyager (82)
TNG (78 )
TOS/TAS (76)
Enterprise (52)

There are only a couple more series I would put ahead of DS9. Depending on how they end, maybe LOST and BSG. BTVS is slightly ahead of it, it is probably my favorite series. If I could ignore the last few seasons, X-Files would be up there, but it ends up somewhere in the low 80s.

Oh, and my order of the films:

10. Star Trek V: The Final Frontier
9. Star Trek: Insurrection
8. Star Trek: Nemesis
7. Star Trek: Generations
6. Star Trek III: The Search for Spock
5. Star Trek: The Motion Picture
4. Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home
3. Star Trek: First Contact
2. Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country
1. Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan

I expect the new one probably break into the top 3.
