I know it is very early but if I post early maybe there will be a better chance of getting something in.

My list so far
Battle Royale

The Hidden and/or They Live 80's fun what else can I say.

Timecrimes the 2007 Nacho Vigalondo version. It is being remade as a hollywood movie so it may be hard to get a print of this.

Island Of Lost Souls (1932) An Island of Dr Moreau relling with Charles Laughton

And as always wishing for the 1954 Japanese cut of Godzilla/Gojira

Sleeper: 70's era wackyness I have not seen since I was a kid seems like it might play well

Alien 3: I think it may be time to give it another chance on the big screen.

Gremlins 2 It is full of fun movie references that this crowd would get and enjoy more than most.

Any thoughts or additions??

Your suggestions would help fill in some gaps in my cultural enlightenment I have been sadly negligent about correcting. Mainly Blue Thunder I have read about it, but never seen it. It would be fantastic to see it on a real screen as opposed to my 15 year old 27 inch Sony.
What could be more funand/or cringeworthy than Molly Ringwald in space? Molly Ringwald in spaceand 3D!
It would be sweet if the Blob makes it if we could also get a Futurama episode that features H.G. Blob.

I saw a test screening fir Alien 3 and I was about the only person in the room who didn't hate it. I don't like it as muh as the others but at least it is tolerable, if a bit predictable.

Lost Skelly 2 would make me happy. As would Jason X. If for anything to get it off of the request lists. :)

This sci-fi comedy Alien Trespass sounds like it would make an excellent premiere! And it's opening in April (limited release), so maybe they'd appreciate some attention.

I will make my annual request for The Thing and get that out of the way.

Cleveland has posted their traditionally odd lineup (http://films.cwru.edu/), but I'm not sure if they generally show everything in 35MM. But if prints are available I wouldn't mind Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure or the overlooked A Scanner Darkly.

Also, aint-it-cool's Butt Numbathon showed the funky eighties rerelease of Metropolis. That would be interesting if showing the real thing is not possible.[/url]

I need to head up there some year, but this won't be the one. Work and new house stuff will keep me away. It is interesting, though there are several I am pretty sure Bruce would never schedule and I am grateful for that.

The Thing is long overdue for an encore. It's probably the most requested film on this forum. By that I mean, more people request it each year, not just one person requesting it over and over and over again. The Music Box Theatre in Chicago played a beautiful print of it a few years ago for their horror marathon. People were coming in off the street at midnight to buy tickets for $30 just for that one film. It was standing room only. Jeff and Bruce should really try for it this year-I almost guarantee a sold out show (of course having fliers out sooner than the week before will also help). One of my favorite marathons was the 5th SF where it opened with the The Thing 1951 and ended with The Thing 1982. I love the idea of bookending the marathons in general.

Other titles:

They Live
Big Trouble in Little China
Escape from New York
The Blob (remake and original)
Metropolis (original)
Man Who Fell to Earth
Clash of the Titans
Predator
Robocop
Godzilla (original Japanese version)
Hardware
The Hidden
Dark City
War of the Worlds (original)
Failsafe
Fantastic Voyage

Another premiere with potential would be Mutant Chronicles, which has just been picked up for release in April. It stars Thomas Jane, Ron Perlman and John Malkovich.

And let's not forget Outlander, which has received lots of good word despite the Weinsteins dumping it in limited release on Jan. 23. Knowing the Weinsteins, it will probably be out on DVD by the time of the Marathon, but I'd still love the chance to see it on the big screen.

I wish that we could get prints of Logan's Run and Green Slime but Bruce says that there are none to be had. I always put in a vote for The Thing (both 1951 and 1982 versions) and They Live!. Further list:

Colossus: the Forbin Project
Outland
Rollerball - remember that this was a possibility a couple of years ago
On the Beach - surprised that I have never seen this one
Zardoz
Brainstorm
Alien Nation
Fortress
Highlander
Demon Seed
Spacehunter - Adventures in the Forbidden Zone (3D)
The Time Machine

Another vote for The Blob, Failsafe, On the Beach and, in general, older movies.
