I just finished watching the Star Trek (2009) trailer while watching Heroes and wow!

This puts The Next Generation and its movies to shame.

It looks promising, but I know some of the other trailers have looked good and the product been lacking. I like JJ Abrams, though, so I am hoping for a good time.

Does the scenes featuring old Spock takes place after Star Trek Nemesis or before? Then I'm still partial to the William Shatner's Starfleet Academy series. I know the books were ghostwritten but they seem to be a better fit in the expanded ST universe.

I know that, but where in the 24th century does Old Spock travels back to the early 23rd century.

Plus I heard that their might be a Star Trek Reboot series. What going to ignore the past 35 plus years? Good thing that the BBC didn't do a reboot with the current Doctor Who series. 26 seasons plus one TV movie is hard to ignore.

I think he’s supposed to be from 30 years after Nemesis, but we never get to actually see that time period.

So most of the Next Generation, DS9 and the Voyager characters be retired or in a grave.

that's my guess, except for Data ... or B-9 or whatever the last movie did to that character.
