Am I the only one that was disappointed by District 9? It felt unbalanced to me; the good ideas they had at the beginning were squandered by the end as it turned into a standard mindless action movie hunt for the MacGuffin.
You're not the only one ... it's got some pacing issues and some galloping-elephant plot holes that kinda weigh it down a bit.
But still, overall I think it's a very well executed film, very engaging, and the story is pretty enjoyable. It's also a very nice, very realistic set of effects, and things blow up REAL good.
Definitely worth of a theater viewing, and I think it would make a great Marathon film (for those who missed it on the big screen.)
