Kevin McCarthy, perhaps best known to Marathoids for his starring turn in Invasion of the Body Snatchers, has passed away in a Cape Cod hospital at age 96.

While you certainly can't say he was gone too early - 96 is a respectable age by any standard - he will be missed.
