Anyway I just finished watching Super via ON Demand. (Mid Ohio TWC system) It is the pitch black comedy I've ever seen. Is there anyway to get this for the marathon?

BTW Trump declare bankruptcy 4 times, including a casino. Plus having a reality star who put Gary Busey in charge is seeing real world Idiotracy. That"s all I've got to say.

He has declared bankruptcy 4 times (out of 100's of business ventures) because he was willing to take huge risks and these 4 times they didn't pay off. We need someone in office who will stand up to the oil companies not cower to them (or take kick backs from them)

P.S. I have watched GREEN SLIME 3 times since I recorded it from TMC.

Do I need to tie the two of you to a chair "Clockwork Orange"-style, and force you to watch "Automatons" over and over again, until you're willing to play nice and stop talking politics here?

In other news, watching it right now with my daughters, if we're willing to go a little more "pure fantasy" and less "hard sci-fi," I can't help but think that "Labyrinth" would make a fantastic marathon film.

Beautifully made, very fun, it'd fit nicely into the first six hours of the marathon when Bruce and Jeff and company tend to put the more "family friendly" features.

We tried LABYRINTH as a change of pace item at the Boston SF Marathon a couple of years ago. Eh. It worked OK enough as a late-afternoon 'kiddie matinee' type of scheduling (dinner break for many others). Jennifer Connelly was preternaturally cute for a teen, which made the scenes with David Bowie kind of creepy (not to mention that apparent codpiece!!!)...

After reading Never Let Me Go I think this could be the art house pick for SF28. It is a recent enough film to get.

I did watched Abbot and Costello go to Mars. That could fit in the family friendly block of time.

Conquest of the Planet of the Apes. Due to the remake is coming out this summer.

Yup, sign me up - I'll check out Bowie's big, beautiful... hair, anytime.

Would love to see "the Time Machine" (1960) again. It never gets old. Plus a nice treat might be "Galaxy Quest".

Your suggestion of "Abbott & Costello go to Mars" (an excellent suggestion, by the way) made me think of the "Three Stooges in Orbit" or "Have Rocket will Travel". Also good for the "family friendly" time of the day.

Galaxy Quest is something I could definitely get behind. It's a spoof, but it's a spoof that was clearly made by people who love 'Trek, and as such, I really dig it.

I am... torn about including either an Abbott & Costello or a Three Stooges film. A&C I could handle, but would probably prefer for one of their Universal Monster cross-overs.

The Stooges... eh. Their brand of humor has never done anything for me. And anything longer than a short would likely inspire me to leave the Rocketship Drexel in search for food.

Would be a great option for the Japanese movie, if possible...

How does one embed a YouTube video, by the way?

On a website or in a forum?

This particular forum does not allow for embedding. Links are just fine.

Looks like an intense Speed Racer episode. Not a big fan of anime, but it could be fun.

Also not an anime fan, but then again I didn't hate Cowboy Bebop or Steamboy when they played.
