So, it's been almost a year since we've had an episode of the Marathon Chat podcast (August 7, 2017). The oral history left off with the final Two-Headed Marathon (2008) and SF24 (2007).

And the beloved Hall of Marathonia hasn't been updated since Shock Around the Clock 2008.

I understand these are labors of love, and no one is making any money off them, but I really loved and treasured these (not just because the Marathon Chat podcasts were my preferred soundtrack for long runs). Is there any chance of the podcasts returning or the website being updated again?

Marathonia will be updated again soon. I've gone through two hard drives since the last update and had two jobs stealing what little other time I had, so it's fallen behind. This last crash forced me to excavate the scanner, though, so hopefully I'll get to it around April time-frame. The past few weeks have been busy with digital work for the marathon itself, which I kinda figure should take top priority. :)

That's great news.

I just was hoping that it wasn't something that had fallen away because "No one cares about it anyway."

Nope, just a slacker at the helm. :)

For what it's worth, I've got the scanning work done for the prior marathons, I just need to get the database updated and everything spooled out to the website. But, since I'm out of town next weekend that probably won't be till end of month.

Many thanks, Dave!

And in case this was too much of an "I'm complaining" topic, thank you for all the time and energy you've put into maintaining these digital archives. They're phenomenal resources for those of us trying to reconstruct what actually happened as we stroll down memory lane.

"Oh, yeah, it was great when they showed Zeiram way back when I was in High School. That was the same year they showed Them!. I loved those!"
"Uhm, dude. That was two different marathons. Zeiram was SF8. Them didn't air until SF9."

I was talking to Mira between movies this year, and my brother and I were trying to tell her which years had the best (and worst) line-ups.

So, my most sincere thanks for keeping these archives alive.

Eventually I'll move them all to the main website hosting, but I'm wanting to make some improvements to how the data gets entered and processed. Again, grand plans, little time.

Also thanks David.
As a relative newbie it is fun to see the old listings. A lot of work.
Would be even more valuable if anyone under the age of 40 still looked at posting boards.
