Did anyone see Transformers, and if so, what did you think?

A lot of folks I know have seen it multiple times. A few folks haven't liked it, most loved it. I have been on call and haven't been able to see it yet.

I saw it 3 times between opening night and throughout the weekend. At first I was kinda disappointed. Great action scenes, special effects were awsome, and the robots looked fantastic. However, some of the jokes were just too cheesey. I think I went in to this movie expecting the first generation cartoon series. With that in mind, I watched the movie 2 more times and am now a fan. There is still one joke that make me hang my head in shame, but to keep this spoiler free, I won't bring it up.

I can't imagine ever wanting to see the film on a television, but I had a blast when I saw it. Some of the best digital effects work ever and terrific sound good for a theatrical experience. I could handle the stupid jokes and mishmash story because I knew going in that it was a Michael Bay "film" and my expectations were low. The one thing that distacted me though was the constant discovery of Massive Abandoned Structures. And just where is that sprawling Mecca just a few miles from Hoover Dam anyway?
