Can anyone explain to me how Paypal works? |

It's sort of a cross between Western Union and a Credit card. Basically you have an account with PayPal that you either link to your credit card or some other means of funding it. Then you use the paypal account to transfer money to the person you are buying something from or give money to a webpage or cause you want to support. It acts, in a way, as a firewall between your credit card and the internet, since the vendor does not get you credit card information, just you paypal account number. And if you don't have a credit card or don't want to use one, it allows you to pay for things online without one. |
