I am currently in the process of doing some early Christmas shopping. One of the people on my list is one of my many brothers named William, an absolute gore hound. Problem is he is very hard to impress and films that make other people run to the bathroom while attempting to contain the vomit spewing from their mouth simply make him yawn.

Today I ran across a used copy of the director's cut of Cannibal Holocaust. A film I have heard plenty about but neither myself or William have ever seen. Is it really as disgusting and infamous as I have heard or is it tame by today's standards?

I would love some input from anyone and everyone on this as well as suggestions for other films that pour on insane amounts of gore if you please?

Thanks in advance.

It's pretty disgusting, mainly due to the real animal torture in the film that, for obvious reasons, registers as more disturbing than the fake torture of humans. Cannibal Ferox is also very nasty. If he's a true gorehound, he might dig them. If not, he will think you are insane. Enter at your own risk!

Cannibal Holocaust
Zombie
House by the Cemetery
Scalps
Nightmare(Nightmare in a Damaged Brain)
Eaten Alive(Italian)
Make Them Die Slowly(Cannibal Ferox)
The Grim Reaper
City of the Living Dead(Gates of Hell)
Burial Ground(Nights of Terror)
City of the Walking Dead(Nightmare City)
Deadly Spawn
Incredible Melting Man
Demons 1 and 2
Cannibal Apocalypse
Basket Case
Night of the Zombies(Hell of the Living Dead)
Pieces
I Drink Your Blood

are all bloodsoaked, gore filled features most gore fans will like. There are many more but those are a few off the top of my head. And all the HG Lewis film like Blood Feast,Gore Gore Girls, etc. are the original "gore"films. There are many out there available. For good prices try Deepdiscount.com .

Great list Infra-Kid, thank you. 8)

Well these are the films that my brother has seen off of that list.

Zombie
House by the Cemetery
The Grim Reaper
City of the Living Dead(Gates of Hell)
City of the Walking Dead(Nightmare City)
Deadly Spawn
Incredible Melting Man
Demons 1 and 2
Night of the Zombies(Hell of the Living Dead)

That leaves these...

Scalps
Nightmare(Nightmare in a Damaged Brain)
Eaten Alive(Italian)
Make Them Die Slowly(Cannibal Ferox)
Burial Ground(Nights of Terror)
Cannibal Apocalypse
Basket Case
Pieces
I Drink Your Blood

And I myself have not seen the majority of the films on the second list, in your opinion or anyone else's is there anything on the second list that would blow the first list away?

As always, still open to more suggestions.

All are good as far as I can say and I own all of the ones I mentioned. But then I have over 7000 videos and over 3000 DVDs.
