| Post subject: | Friday the 13th Remake Blu-Ray Packs Lots of Nudity |
From Shock Till You Drop: We caught up with Brad Fuller producer of the upcoming Friday the 13th remake who revealed that we can expect a few new deleted scenes on the Blu-Ray as well as lots more nudity. It seems they ended up cutting alot of 'porkys' style scenes since the test screening of the film revealed that male fans were not cool with the nudity. Which strikes me as odd. He says quote; "We shot the movie and we do all of our nudity and we test the movie. That’s always a stressful thing. And the one thing that we felt bullet proof on was the kids were going to love the nudity in the movie. We were convinced that it was going to go over well, and the craziest thing was, the most hated thing about the movie in the first cut of the movie was that there was too much nudity. And the majority of those comments came from boys under 25 which was totally baffling, and ironically, the women had no problem with it, but boys under 25 did." This just strikes me as all kinds of wierd that women were ok with the nudity but the guys were not. I figured most males under 25 liked a little bit of boobies in their horror films. The theory that Brad has on why the nudity went over not so well is quote; "....nowadays, kids get it at home and it’s not the kind of thing that they are comfortable seeing in a room with a lot of other people. That’s my theory. So we pulled back on the nudity." No word on the Blu-Ray release date since its obviously way to early be we also know from Shock that the film will feature an alternate ending as well as 3 extended scenes involving more nudity. |
