THE BAD: My first observation while watching this movie was why didn't they just name this FRIDAY THE 13th PART 11 because It didn't really seem like a "reboot" other than JASON being more humanized it's just another FRIDAY THE 13th Movie. Second, It was very anti-climactic when JASON finds the Hockey Mask. Third, I didn't really care about the main Characters And the last bad observation was the ending seemed forced and out of character for everyone involved but I guess we know there will be a PART 2. THE GOOD: It's a FRIDAY THE 13th Movie!! Some of the kill scenes were creative although how do you show the audience a wood chipper and not feed a victim thru it? Lots and Lots of nudity (always a plus) can't wait for the unrated DVD which promises even more nudity. Descent story parts were similar to "The Final Chapter" THE RATING: Over all I would give it 8 out of 10 Bloody Axes, mainly because it was great to see JASON back on the big screen and I hope this movie helps jump start a new era of slasher films. |
