It feels like the 80's are really dead now

It’s times like this that I’m reminded of his words …

“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop to look around once in a while, you could miss it.”

A piece of my past is gone. :(

I agree with Usinoh. Love him, hate him or pity him, Michael Jackson was the main pop musical voice of the 80s. Hughes was the "movie soundtrack" of my late middle and high school years."

Looking back at his films, I think of a little bit of music from MST3K's riff of Mr. B Natural. "Oh, we're white, we're really, really white. We're really really really white." I have the same thought from time to time since we moved back from DC when I go to scouting and school activities for my son. Which, in my opinion is my defense for him , I think he wrote what he knew, which was mostly white suburbia, and the the class conflicts that he experienced growing up.

And it isn't like there was a lot of diversity in 80s teen movies, in general. The one that comes to mind, since I knew a bunch of the extras was Teachers, with nick Notle that was filmed at old Central High, back before it became the new COSI.
