Drummer Chuck Biscuits (born Charles Montgomery), who played with Black Flag, Danzig, Social Distortion and more, passed away Saturday, Oct. 24, after a lengthy battle with throat cancer. He was 44. Biscuits played with D.O.A. from 1978 to 1982 when he joined Black Flag. In 1987, he became the original drummer for Danzig before departing in 1994. Two years later, he joined Social Distortion and can be heard playing on the band's 1998 album, Live At The Roxy. He also played with the Circle Jerks and Samhain, the Red Hot Chili Peppers among other projects. An anonymous family member released a statement saying, "In response to the inquires, thank you for all the support. Chuck did not survive his battle with throat cancer. He passed surrounded by his family on 10/24/09." |
