I wasn't sure what to think when I heard that the marathon was going to be at a different theater this year. The Grandview theater was so old school and perfect for a horror marathon comprised of mostly older films.
However, I gotta say I vastly preferred the new theater.
-The seats were much bigger and comfier, plus there seemed to be more room between you and the seat in front of you, making people going in and out much easier. Plus cup holders (which are partially workable if you fudge it right)
-The rest rooms were great, with 5 toilets (granted, one was out of order in the mens room). Never during the whole thing was there a sizable line going into the room. Plus they were very clean.
-The seats out front are a nice touch if you want to go out and cool off (and put up with the cloud of tobacco in between films).
- The radio cafe is great. Eating the wrong kind of food before staying up all night sucks, but something light and not greasy, like the sandwiches they had, is perfect.
The only real thing I liked about the old theater more was that it went farther back, as I'm someone who doesn't like to be too close to the screen.
