My wishlist for Marathon glory is....
Red State (2011)
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (2012, lol)
Exorcist III (1990)
The Incredible Melting Man (1977) First scary movie I ever saw, at the drive-in... Scared the bejesus out of me.
Ghost Story (1981)
The Believers (1987)
Peeping Tom (1960)
Monster Squad (1987)
And any of the Abbott & Costello monster movies.
I agree with your whole list! Some interesting, oddball choices in there, yet all of them are quite logical and would be good fits for any marathon lineup.
Exorcist III is I think especially underrated. It probably suffers unfairly from backlash due to the first sequel being so unforgivably atrocious, plus it is so hard to distance yourself from a universally accepted classic. It's actually very good, much like the equally underappreciated
Psycho II which Joe wanted to include last year.
Red State would be quite awesome, but alas I think Kevin Smith is too big for our little theater (no physical pun intended). Unless he releases it for distribution in the coming months, right now he is limiting it to speaking engagement screenings only. Even if the Grandview had the money to book this, there just aren't enough seats for an event like that, assuming Mr. Smith would allow himself to be a part of a larger event in the first place.
