Thanks again for the info!

I'll be the lone wolf wondering around looking confused (probably) :)
Couldn't get any of my friends to take the challenge!! But, I'm sure I will be in good company.

See y'all soon!

I wouldn't worry. The maniacs are all up on screen. Well, mostly.

Nice website, BTW. And, of course, welcome to our nightmare. :)

Thanks you so much!

Well, the marathon was everything I could've hoped for and more! Absolutely the best way to spend 24 hours :) The lineup was amazing and the company was even better. The pace of schedule was perfect too because the more atmospheric, slower paced movies played early.

I fully intend to make a tradition out of this.

Kinda a funny tidbit - after A Serbian Film, right before the screening of Midnight Son, I was hankering for a snack (believe it or not) and went to get a pretzel, but they were out. Without even thinking I order a hotdog (!?) and when the lady handed me that limp, steamed hotdog my stomach just sank. I forced myself to eat most of it, but it haunted me the rest of the night in noxious burps! My friend and I kept calling it "The Serbian hotdog." Ewww

Can't wait to see y'all again next year!

This is a true story:

While managing the (then) Drexel Grandview in 1998, I organized the 2nd (and, ultimately, final) SHOCKTOBERFEST all-nighter. One of the films featured was Last House on the Left, which ended up playing around 4am. If you've seen the film, you know that one of the most infamous climactic scenes involves the mother biting off one of the villains' penises. Before the film ended, Jeff Frank (who wasn't watching the film...and who's probably never seen it since) told me to make an announcement about a specific concession stand discount at the film's conclusion. And so, as the credits rolled, I marched to the front of the theater, plugged in the microphone and said:

"And on that note, hot dogs are half off at the concession stand."

Wonder if anyone actually *did* get a hotdog!

That announcement would've been most appropriate after A Serbian Film as well...

Thought about my bad decision today and shuddered!

Can anyone tell me the final headcount of the audience? Or number of tickets sold this year?
