Post subject:  Death of Film

It appears that FujiFilm had decided to end manufacturing of 35mm film stock. 20th Century Fox is planning to stop releasing film prints starting next year.

Is it time to start embracing digital distrobution of films in favor of 35mm prints? If studios aren't willing to loan film prints of thier back catalog of their horror or science fiction films?

35mm IMO is preffered but due to these developments is it time to embrace digital projection of movies?

Well, let's be realistic. As much as I would love to continue to see 35mm screenings, especially of rare, older films, we are quickly reaching a point whereby those prints won't be able to be screened. 35mm projectors and, importantly, those who know how to properly operate them are a vanishing commodity. Digital is here to stay, for better or worse. I shall miss film, though. Now GIT OF'N MAH LAWN!!!
