So, we have the psycho sexual mind melt triple bill in the late evening, then on top of all that you make us read subtitles at 6:30AM. You certainly aren't going to let anyone forget this is a MARATHON.

I need to remind myself to pack some of my son's Adderall.

Reading a movie with subtitles is like reading a picture book. Subtitle films are not hard to follow. Even at six thirty.

Dinner Break might be during Kill List. Since I already watched it. Plus the movie is dull. So dull.

Is the Devils uncut?

That reminds me, I also need to remember to pack my picture books for the trip so I'll have something to do during the dull parts.

Sorry for straying off topic, maybe I should have posted this in the "final thoughts" or another of the numerous advice threads?

I hope I win the costume contest this year, I am going as a "marathoneer", a big part of my costume is to just sit in my seat during the contest. Please let me win that would be awesome!!

It is possible that this year's horror marathon might not have the projection issues of year's past?

Majority of the films are matted. The two movies that need to use an anamorphic projrctor lense is Kill List and The Last Circus. The Devils is going to be digitally projected. According to IMBD The Devils was shot using anamorphic lenses and blown up to conventional 70mm film stock as well. Please what ever the aspect ratio of the Devils please frame the movie correctly. When I Sell the Dead was digitally projected it was cropped from 2.35 to 1.78.

Here is the total movie runtime

Dr Phibes 94min

White Zombie 67min

Something Wicked This Way Comes 95min

Phantom of the Paradise 92min

Kill List 95min

Possession Uncut 117min

The Devils 111min

Braindead 85min

Videodrome 89min

The Last Circus 107min

Werewolves on Wheels 85min

American Werewolf in London 97min

Estimated runtime 1132 plus or minus or 19 hours and 26min.

I use the 111 min runtime for the us cut of The Devils. If Joe can confirm that the Devils is the 117 uncut version. Kill List Blu Ray case list the runtime as 95 minutes.

Posession runtimes varied from the listed 80 minutes for the edit cut to 117 for the uncut version on the IMDB. According to the insert of this year's Science Fiction Marathon program book Possession is uncut. Now wikipedia listed the runtimes for Possesstion from 97 minutes for the us version to 123 minute version for the uncut. I used the uncut number from IMDB due to it NOT BEING wikipedia.

For Braindead AKA Dead Alive I use the 85 R rated cut runtime from IMDB. Again there is conflict of the runtimes between wikipedia and IMDB.

This is why I put the word ESTIMATE infront of the runtime and then put plus-minus next to the ESTIMATE due to the various runtimes of the films. There is no way knowing on what prints and digital copy runtimes are without Joe confirming each film exact runtime.

Kill List is far from boring. It's deliberately paced which some people might equate with boring. Essentially it's got the same pacing of House of the Devil. Slow build up to a great big freak out.

I just watched Possession last night and man, what a find for Joe and Bruce. That's a movie that's bound to be divisive for the audience because of its pacing (not so much the subject matter), but those with patience and a taste for challenging cinema will be rewarded. It's got such a great look to it too. Jealous of all of you.

American Werewolf, Phibes, Videodrome, Dead/Alive are all certified classics.

Great cheese with Phantom of the Paradise and Werewolves on Wheels.

Great lineup all around.
