So do you feel like you've been sitting around forever, waiting for news on the 5th Annual Ohio 24-Hour Horror Marathon a.k.a. SHOCK AROUND THE CLOCK a.k.a. this cinematic thing of ours? Are you starting to think that all hope in this world is lost? Okay, maybe you already thought that last part...
Well, rest assured, Bruce and I have been hard at work trying to arrange the details for another round the clock excursion into terror. Now you know us: we passionately care about these Marathons. For the last four years, we've done our best to make SHOCK AROUND THE CLOCK a peerless cinematic experience for all of you. Sitting in a theater with you crazy bastards for an entire rotation of the planet is one of the highlights of the year for both of us. We don't want to mess that up.
And it's for that reason that we can't give you an official announcement about where we stand right now. We're still in the process of crossing the t's, dotting the i's and driving the wooden stakes deep enough, steps that will hopefully ensure that this year's event can live up to the high standards we've set (and that you demand.) We don't want to say any more until we're satisfied that things are ready to roll, that the event will be the same full strength, full-length version that you love.
What we can tell you is that we're aiming for
October 26th and 27th as the dates for the event. That's a week later than we usually plan for, but for many reasons, it's the best time for the event this year. We already have some prospective titles lineup up for those dates, several of which we can hopefully tell you as soon as we have everything locked down. So mark your calendars appropriately.
We're hoping to have more news in the next few weeks, maybe sooner if things fall into place. Until then, stay patient and keep the faith.
