The Wicker Man restoration is actually a new Director's Cut of the original film that I believe has added footage, not the Nicolas Cage/Neil La Bute remake. I trust Joe would not want to show the remake. The restoration is being titled The Wicker Man: Final Cut and is opening theatrically in limited release this coming weekend before before being released on Blu-Ray.

Why would people think it will be the Nic Cage remake?

I think BeeDub was being facetious.

Wow, I just noticed that this forum hit a new record last Friday for number of users online simultaneously:

Quote:

This would have been shortly after the lineup was announced.

Nic Cage. Bear suit. Karate. Bees.

I'm failing to see the issue here.

A loop of clips from the Nic Cage remake would make for a nice dinner break...

So we're all in agreement that, in some super montage, a clip of Nic Cage will be shown? Next call to order, will this clip be of him:

1. Just being awesome
2. Absolutely losing his shit

Isn't that pretty much the same thing? I would definitely stick around for Vampire's Kiss...

Wait, did someone say VAMPIRE'S KISS? A film which both Bruce and I would LOVE to show?!?!?

Maybe not this year. But someday soon....

IF you do that Nic Cage odd behaviour reel, at least show the all too genuine cochroach eating scene!

Really a Nick Cage Film? If you are so keen to screen Vampire's Kiss try to get before I turn 35.

I actually haven't seen Vampire's Kiss in a couple of decades and I have no idea if it holds up at all. I barely remember it now. But I remember it being really, really bizarre and Nicolas Cage totally going mental. I'd love to see it again...

I actually do like Nicolas Cage as an actor though. Un-ironically. I'm not saying all of his movies are great, because THAT'S certainly not true. But I think he's actually a good actor. When he's playing the right role in the right project. This whole internet thing the last few years of "Nicolas Cage, the worst actor in the world" seems to come from younger people who don't know his past work at all. Jerry Bruckheimer and the IRS seem to have ruined him for the forseeable future though.
