Mom's basement if you mean my fourth floor downtown Columbus Ohio apartment with onsite security personel staffed 24 hours a day seven days a week. That what you mean by Mom's Basement?

I do have an VHS player it is an JVC's Digital VHS player that have a very brief run around the earliest part of the naughts. It can output at 1920X1080 resolution. 480p upscan for the standard resoultion VHS cassettes. So Far my only HD copy of ID4 is a DVHS copy

I did order the V/H/S 2 Blu Ray, DVD, VHS set.

The 1980's are over. The era of low resolution, image degrading, VHS tape destroying players, pan and scan movies are over.

Now When I did a google search with one of those newfangle smartphones that people have these days I was only find four showings of Suspira for the year. That is rare.

If its not available streaming or on optical disc then its not worthy.

I'm guessing the 24 hour security is to keep the inmates in,not out.

rewatching one of the best movies shown at a marathon. THEM. that movie was one of the few times when the whole crowd was quiet and into it.

Ahem, ahem......

1.) I would say that a few of you should (once again) move your pissing contests to another section of the forum. But that would be too obvious of me, now wouldn't it?

2.) Getting back to the topic at hand...THIS is a wonderfully nutty little film. It was on the short list for this year. It should probably move up to the main event next year.

OMG! I had totally forgotten about that movie - but, yea, that would be awesome to see at a 'thon!

I'm trying to remember when I originally saw that... maybe late-night TV in the 80's?

Last night I saw a terrific little remake that for some reason was not even on my radar called We Are What We Are.

Check it out, especially if you don't know much about it where you won't be spoiled.
Creepy, suspenseful and gruesome in all the right places.
It's great being able to "discover" movies in this day and age of information overload, but I suspect even those not as fortunate as me to not know the "secret" going in will still appreciate what this has to offer.

Enjoyed La Residencia (aka The House that Screamed, 1969) this afternoon, starring Lilli Palmer and featuring John Moulder Brown (Deep End) and Maribel Martin (The Blood Spattered Bride) in supporting roles.
Not so much a horror film as a thriller, though this one's often classified as a horror movie. It's actually fairly unpredictable, and the final shock is still pretty effective.
Last time I checked, this one was available on YouTube.
